SpinChat works in an ordinary web browser, on a phone or a laptop — there’s no app to download and no registration before your first spin. Decide how you’d like to talk, press start, and find out who chance sends your way.

Pick a way to talk
On camera, by voice or by typing. The camera only comes on if you picked video and allowed it in your browser; voice needs just the microphone; typing needs neither.

Throw the dice
SpinChat goes looking for someone to pair you with. As soon as it finds a person, you’re talking — and there was no way to know in advance who it would be.

Stay a while, or spin on
On a call, Next becomes available after the first few seconds — tap it and chance picks again. Ending a call is always an option, with one quick “are you sure?”. In a text chat, go back and press start again.
Nobody knows who’s next. That’s the fun of it.
A spin isn’t a search. You don’t browse profiles or line anyone up before you start — you throw the dice and meet whoever comes up. Some conversations are over in a minute; some run much longer than you planned. Each one starts with a little curiosity about who you’re about to meet.
That’s the whole idea behind the name: you press start, chance does the choosing, and you decide whether the conversation is worth keeping.

What a spin costs
The first steps cost nothing: there are some free matches, and every match opens with a free stretch of time. Talk beyond that stretch and the call is billed in coins per minute.
A message in the call warns you a few seconds before billing kicks in, so it never starts by surprise. You’ll see what coins cost before paying for any, and an account is needed only for buying them.

Not to begin. A few matches are on the house, and each match opens with free time; if you stay on after that, coins are charged per minute, and the call tells you just before they are.
Do I have to register before my first spin?
No. You’d only register to buy coins.
